  White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre announced late Tuesday night that President Joe Biden had approved an emergency declaration for the Jackson water crisis in the State of Mississippi and to supplement the state’s response ordered Federal assistance. On Wednesday senators on both sides of the aisle criticized the Biden administration’s monkeypox response, at a congressional hearing with the nation’s leading public health officials.
